Korea National University of Arts and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts: Contemporary Dance
The School of Dance of the Korea National University of Arts was established in 1996 and through Korean traditional dance, ballet, and contemporary dance education, the school lays the groundwork to cultivate professional dancers, theorists, and planners who will work to change the field of dance in the 21st century. The faculty exhibits not only practical knowledge, but also the history and success of their own artistic careers.
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, established by Government Ordinance in 1984, is a leading tertiary institution for the performing arts in Asia. It provides professional undergraduate education and practice-based postgraduate studies in Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music and Theatre and Enter-tainment Arts. Its educational philosophy reflects the cultural diversity of Hong Kong with emphasis on Chinese and Western traditions, and interdisciplinary learning.
In this Festive Korea, Korea National University of Arts will join hands with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to deliver an extraordinary contemporary program to Hong Kong audiences on 23rd October.
