Lovely Winter at Seoul Christmas Festival!

A festive mood is set to descend upon the area of Cheonggyecheon Stream from Cheonggye Plaza to Jonggak on December 9 thanks to the Seoul Christmas Festival. Lights in every size and color will light up the area for a romantic ambiance.

Cheonggye Plaza, the main area of the festival, is planned to be turned into the Dream Show Zone, featuring a large Christmas tree, media ball, and the festival stage. Following the stream as it flows on, visitors can see the Jubilation Zone, White Christmas Zone, Love Theme Zone, and Blessing Zone. Each section is decorated with luminaries and photo ops fitting the story of each theme.

Various concerts and exhibitions will take place during the festival period, including on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The opening ceremony in particular will be an event to watch out for, lasting from 16:30 to 18:00 and filled with celebratory performances and the grand lighting of all displays. The festival will last until January 2, 2018 so be sure to stop by for a visit. The bright lights will put everyone in a cheery mood.
