Korean Artists at Freespace Happening 2018 of West Kowloon Cultural District
Freespace Happening brings you weekends full of music, dance, literature-themed activities, handicraft markets and a rich variety of creative workshops on every second weekend of each month from September 2018 to March 2019.
Gonne Choi
Gonne Choi is a singer-songwriter. She is standing on the basis of acoustic sound, expresses various genres including Korean traditional music, contemporary jazz, rock, pop, and folk.
WE Dance
WE Dance invites you to explore and experience the traditions and possibilities of Korean dance. Join the fun-filled workshops led by Korean dance artist Hyeon Lee and the local dance group, Alan & Becky Dance Group, where you can learn Ganggangsullae and Ipchum, two traditional forms of Korean dance. Hyeon Lee will also demonstrate how she incorporates contemporary elements into these traditional dance forms.
Hyeon Lee
Hyeon Lee graduated from Korea National University of Arts, she attained the Gyeonggi-do Intangible Culture asset No.8 ‘Salpuri Dance’ at a young age. She founded Borzia AT G to explore the contemporary possibliltiy of Korean traditional dance and actively collaborates with partners from architecture, media arts, and music fields.
