Special Opening of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion Starting this April

Gyeongbokgung Palace’s Gyeonghoeru Pavilion will be open for viewing from April to October. Visitors will be able to enjoy the view of Gyeongbokgung Palace to the east and Ingwangsan Mountain to the west from Korea’s largest pavilion.

Gyeonghoeru Pavilion served as a banquet venue for celebrations or to welcome and entertain foreign envoys during the Joseon period. Visitors are welcome to take advantage of this special opening event as admission to Gyeonghoeru Pavilion is usually restricted.

Gyeonghoeru Pavilion will be open three times per day on weekdays (except Tuesdays) and four times per day on weekends, and includes a 30~40-minute guided tour (Korean language only). Reservation in advance is required via phone call and no additional charges will apply aside from Gyeongbokgung Palace admission ticket.

Gyeongbokgung Palace’s Gyeonghoeru Pavilion Special Opening

Period: April 1 – October 30, 2017
Operating hours: Three times per day on weekdays (10:00, 14:00, 16:00), four times per day on weekends (10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 16:00)
* Closed on Tuesdays.
Admission: Free (Separate fee applies for admission to Gyeongbokgung Palace)
Reservations: Make reservation via phone call at +82-2-3700-3904, 3905 (English, Chinese, Japanese) (Limited to 20 visitors for each tour)
* Guided service is only available in Korean
* Kindly note that foreign language assistance may not be available temporarily due to limited number of staffs.
* Reservations must be made at least one to six days in advance. (Reservation on the day of the tour not accepted)
